At Pendleton Dental Care, our staff is our greatest asset.  With staff members that have been a part of our team for over 25 years, we truly know our community, our patients and their families, and are able to provide friendly, personal dental care.

The brief descriptions below are designed to help you get to know our staff.

  • Dr.
    Mark Stamey

    A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Stamey has been practicing dentistry since 1985.

    Dr. Stamey is from Aiken, South Carolina. He graduated from Aiken High School, and then attended Presbyterian College to complete his B.S. Degree in Biology.  Upon graduating from the MUSC College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Stamey spent several years practicing dentistry in the rural, underserved areas around Chester, Charleston, and McCormick, S.C.

    In 1994, Dr. Stamey purchased the existing practice of Dr. John Young in Pendleton, S.C, and has enjoyed serving the dental needs of his patients under the office name of Pendleton Dental Care. Over the ensuing 28 years, he has been very proud to see the practice continue to grow and flourish.

    Dr. Stamey and his wife, Patty, have one son, Matthew, who is currently a student at Clemson University.  They are all active members of Trinity United Methodist Church in nearby Anderson, SC. Dr. Stamey enjoys bicycling, hiking, snow skiing, boating, canoeing, and travel of any kind.  Dr. Stamey enjoyed coaching youth baseball for many years and has served as an assistant Boy Scout leader. He has a passion for Clemson sports and the Atlanta Braves. Dr. Stamey recently completed the SC Upstate Master Naturalist Class through Clemson University and the SC DNR and is now a part-time tour guide (kayak and pontoon boat) with Jocassee Lake Tours. Since opening his practice, Dr. Stamey has actively supported local schools and civic organizations and enjoys sponsoring or participating in community activities.

    Dr. Stamey is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association. He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Clemson Free Clinic and Tri-County Technical College's Dental Assisting Program's Advisory Committee.

    Dr. Stamey is committed to his patients and to his profession and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay abreast of the constant changes in the field of dentistry.

Hygienists

  • Kim Chambers

    Kim graduated with honors from Greenville Technical College in 1991 and is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been with our practice since that same year. Kim prides herself on her thoroughness, and really enjoys her relationships with our patients. She is married and has two children – both of them teachers.

  • Niki Hindman

    Originally from Virginia, Niki graduated with honors from Virginia Western College in 1994 and is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been with our practice since 2004. Niki has two daughters, one a teacher and one in high school. She is a pleasant and caring professional and takes great pride in her work.

Receptionist / Front Office Manager

  • Wanda Mann

    As our receptionist, Wanda is a “master multitasker” and a genuine people person you will enjoy getting to know. Wanda also has a background as a dental assistant, so she understands the clinical, business, and insurance aspects of dentistry thoroughly. A native of Sandy Springs, Wanda has been with our practice since 1985.  She is married and has a grown daughter. During her time off, Wanda enjoys walking and the outdoors.

Assistants

  • Kenya Brucke

    Kenya graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from Tri-County Technical College in 2000. She is married and has two children that, as any parent knows, keep her quite busy. She has been with us since 2004, and takes great pride in her talents as an assistant and in helping patients feel at ease during their treatment.

  • Amber Morgan

    Amber is a Certified Dental Assistant and enthusiastic and continuing to learn and grow in her profession.  Amber is married and has two children; she and her family raise horses and compete in competitive team roping events.
